GETTING AROUND SEATTLE—CITY TRANSPORTATION:
Seattle has a very friendly and easy to navigate public transportation system that includes busses, Water Front Street Car, light rail and Sound Transit. We encourage you to use public transportation where possible to avoid having to deal with parking issues in the city. On most city streets you must use the Parking Kiosks to pay for parking. These parking kiosks will accept debit or credit cards and coins. They do not accept dollar bills!

WHAT TO DO WHILE YOU ARE IN SEATTLE:
The downtown area of Seattle has many famous landmarks and places to see if you want some down time from the conference.
PIKE PLACE MARKET
Located at Pike and First Ave. You can also get to Pike Place Market from the Waterfront. Be sure to find the famous Flying Fish Market, wonderful bouquets of flowers and Rachel the Pig. Just across from the entrance to the market is the original Starbucks.
SEATTLE CENTER/SPACE NEEDLE
From the host hotel all you have to do is look up and you should see The Space Needle. Within the Seattle Center is The Space Needle, Pacific Science Center, Key Arena, Imax Theater, The International Fountain, The Experience Music Project, Amusement Park, and Seattle Monorail. The South Asian Performing Arts Festival at the Seattle Center is the same weekend as WW.
CAPITOL HILL ON BROADWAY
Known for its funky shops, great restaurants and services that are LGBTQ friendly, come on up to “the hill” and walk along Broadway—home of the Pride Parade. This is where you will find The Crypt for S/M gear (It’s behind the Jack In The Box on Broadway and Denny), tattoo shops, piercing shops and other fetish stores.
Also located on the hill are Gay, Lesbian and Queer bars. Check out The Wild Rose—home of Seattle Dykes on Bikes and the Seattle Women of Leather Munch, The Cuff Complex, a Leather friendly gay bar with dancing, Neighbors, R Place and ReBar.
WESTLAKE
Just up from Pike Place Market in the heart of the downtown-shopping corridor is Westlake Center. Shopping, shopping and more shopping are available along with carriage rides, the other end of the Seattle Monorail and more shopping. You can take the Monorail from Westlake to the Seattle Center and back.
There will be hospitality volunteers available to answer your questions at the hotel.
